As you can see in this photo, this barn in upstate NY, built in the 1800's, has a sag in the roof.  Needless to say, it was falling down.  All Star Construction saved this historic structure by stabilization as seen below.

This before photo shows a rotted main beam that is supported by insufficient 2 X 6's installed by the previous homeowner.

20 Ton hydraulic jacks were used throughout to help stabilize and level the structure.

 The old stone foundation was dug and new 4' sono tubes were filled to provide footings for the new beams that held up the barn.

The old posts that held up the barn had rotted away causing the structure to be unstable and start to cave in. This is common in older homes as well that have settled.

 An 8" X 8" beam was cut at the local mill specially for this project to match the one that was originally used. 

The 8" X 8" X 12' was hoisted into place.

The completed project!! Notice there is no longer a sag in the roof in the center of the barn. The upper level floor was set level with a laser that was not around in he 1800's when it was originally built.  It is now perfectly level. The sliding door came up off the ground over 8 inches! The amount it had settled over the years. 

In addition, this barn should now last another 200 years! Another historic structure saved!!
